My Little Superhero

This layout was created while I was in Cape Cod.  I specifically had these pictures developed to go with the superhero paper pack.  Unfortunately, the poor quality shows in the express photos.  I will have to have them reprinted.  Thanks to my buddy Tammy I was able to add all of the embellishments to it as well.

Cape Cod Recap and Workshop Cards

These are the cards planned for the card workshop on March 31st.  If you'd like to make them and the SOTM card from an earlier post please contact me by Friday March 23rd at 12:00pm.   Now on to Cape Cod...
Tammy, Kelly, Julia and Isabelle with the mustache straws for celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Cape Cod.

Cape Cod was SOOO much fun! I went with my pals Tammy(my passenger), Julia and Kelly.  I also had some other scrappin' friends I met up with there Kim, Donna and Kathy.  And, I met some new really talented and fun people.
Thursday night we went out to a lovely restaurant and I had a seafood of course!  It was a combo with clams, oysters, shrimp and some calamari which I gave to Julia.  The food ranks up high with some of the best parts of this getaway.  Anyways, we all needed a bit of time to get the ideas flowing so we spent quite a bit of time get organized and catching up on news.
Friday started with a photography class.  I loved it!  I learned sooo many photography tips and tricks and also how to use my point and shoot camera in fluoroscent lighting!! No more yellow faces!  I even took the time to go for a run outside.  It was beautiful.  We went to Captain Parker's for dinner.  I had clam chowder and a lobster roll.  More seafood!
Saturday started with a hotel offered core and cardio class that caused soreness for the next couple days. It was St. Patty's day so we dressed in our garb and enjoyed some of the festivities.  And, Tammy won the photo contest!!!
Believe it or not, Sunday was the best day for quality and productivity.  I had seen what others were creating and what I liked and decided to try it myself.  I saw a few people using just one photo and playing off of the colors from that shot to create a stunning layout.  Some were really amazing.  It also helps when the pics are taken with the aqua waters of Aruba and everyone's cheeks are sunkissed :) or you are a photographer.  But, it wasn't too challenging to find some of my own, especially with the kids.  I was able to squeeze 2 of those types of layouts in before it was time to pack up.  Here is the last page I made before leaving.
I used baker's twine, cork and sewing to embellish throughout the weekend and each of them on this layout.  Our table neighbors had a Kenmore Jr. sewing machine.  I tried it and loved it!
